Support Banners
There are two kinds of desirable cards. There are cards that give good skills, where you only need one or two copies, like Bijin, and cards that you use to raise your stats, where you want them MLB, like Kitasan. Some cards can fulfill either role, like Creek. If you need the card MLB, you should have two pities before pulling on that banner. If it’s a skill card, pull with one pity ready, but stop once you get the card. Also, banners with two SSRs are generally better to pull on, as getting random off-rate support cards is usually not helpful due to SRs outperforming most low-LB SSRs.
(Aug. 28th) Kawakami Princess + Akebono - Skip Kawakami’s gold is generically good in Team Trials, but the card itself is rather weak. The skill does get buffed later on and the white becomes desirable on Front Runners, so you could use this to get a parent with it easier? I guess? You’d want to raise that parent in Scenario 2 though.
Akebono has the other skill that Front Runners will want in a year. But, this card is also not good.
I guess I should explain that strategy? Basically, they add a speed boost while you’re moving left/right in a later update, and Dodging Danger triggers right out the gate, sending you zooming out to the edge of the track, then you activate Prudent Positioning or Aoharu Wisdom and zoom back to the fence, getting a big early lead on your Front Runner. The whites are used for this, not the golds. Here it is in action, watch the Seiun Sky in the middle: https://imgur.com/sQyRFk5
There’s also the Mejiro Dober SSR welfare from the event. This card is pretty good, and I’m not just saying that because it’s Dober. It’s only slightly weaker than an MLB SR and gives a perfectly consistent gold for Late Surgers in Team Trials. In the next scenario, Team Trials builds will generally be 4 Wit 2 Speed. It also has 10% Race Bonus which is valuable in Scenario 3.
(Sept. 7th) Suzuka + Tamamo - Skip We don’t have a lot of good Speed cards right now, so Suzuka is pretty good relative to our options, but she will quickly get replaced when we do get the better Speed cards. And Tamamo is just not good. Suzuka’s skill will be usable on Fronts as a gambling skill during the CM after Gemini, giving a strong result around 1/3 of the time. Perhaps some whales will want to pull here to get her, but I wouldn’t recommend investing that heavily into one CM…
(Sept 17th) Bamboo + Windy - Skip Windy is a very good Speed SR, but the chance of pulling her is lower than the chance of pulling an SSR, and there's no pity. Meanwhile, Bamboo is a bad training card and doesn't have a good skill. You can get Windy later, skip this banner.
(Sept 21) Seiun + Halo - Skip Seiun is somewhat notable for having two Speed bonus on a Wit card, making your Wit rainbows give a good amount of Speed. Maybe she can have a place in a Guts/Wit deck? But, most people should be skipping. Her skill is bad, and Halo's is also bad before its buff.
