Privacy policy

Umamusume Reference Guide is a free fan-made site with no accounts and no sign-up. This policy explains the limited data that third-party analytics and advertising services collect when you visit, and how to control it.

Effective .

The short version

  • We do not ask you for any personal information, and there is nothing on this site for you to sign up to or fill in.
  • We do not run our own database of visitors and we do not sell anything about you.
  • Analytics (Google Analytics 4) and advertising (NitroPay, an Overwolf company) run on the site and collect data through your browser under their own privacy policies.
  • Your light/dark theme preference is stored in your own browser and never sent anywhere.

What we do not collect

There are no user accounts, logins, contact forms, comment sections, newsletters, or uploads on this site. We do not ask for your name, email address, or payment details, and we have no way to receive them through the site.

Services that process data

The site relies on the following third-party services. Each acts under its own privacy policy, and each may receive data directly from your browser when a page loads.

Google Analytics 4

Purpose: Measures how many people visit and which pages they read.

May receive: IP address (used to estimate approximate location), device and browser details, pages viewed, referring site, and analytics cookies or identifiers.

Google Privacy Policy

NitroPay (an Overwolf company)

Purpose: Serves the advertising that funds the site, and provides the consent banner.

May receive: IP address, device and browser details, pages viewed, ad interactions, and cookies or identifiers used for frequency capping, fraud prevention, measurement and — where you consent — personalised ads.

NitroPay Privacy Policy

bunny.net (CDN)

Purpose: Delivers the site's images, styles and scripts quickly worldwide.

May receive: Standard server logs, including IP address, user agent and the file requested.

bunny.net Privacy Policy

Google Sheets embed

Purpose: Displays the community skills spreadsheet on the Skills page only.

May receive: Loading that page causes your browser to request content from Google, which receives your IP address and browser details.

Google Privacy Policy

Cookies and consent

Analytics and advertising may set cookies or similar identifiers in your browser. Where the law requires it, these are only used after you give consent through the banner shown on your first visit.

You can change your mind at any time using the privacy and consent links in the footer of every page. Visitors in California can also use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” link in the same place. You can additionally block or clear cookies in your browser settings, and opt out of Google Analytics entirely with Google’s opt-out add-on.

Browser storage

The site stores a single value in your browser’s local storage, uma-theme, which remembers whether you chose the light or dark theme. It is not a cookie, it is never transmitted to us or to anyone else, and it is removed if you clear your browsing data.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data, to data portability, to withdraw consent, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Because we do not operate our own visitor database, most of this data is held by the services listed above rather than by us. The fastest route is usually to exercise your rights directly with them using their policy links, and to use the consent controls in the site footer. If you need help, contact us and we will point you in the right direction.

Retention and international transfers

We do not retain visitor data ourselves. Retention periods are set by each third-party service under its own policy. Those providers operate globally, including in the United States, and are responsible for the safeguards applied to any international transfer of data.

Children

This site is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal data from them. If you believe a child’s data has been collected through the services listed above, please contact us so it can be raised with the relevant provider.

Changes to this policy

This policy may be updated if the site’s analytics or advertising setup changes. The effective date at the top of this page will be revised when that happens.
